The legendary Les Paul Sunburst Standard.

Initially produced from 1958 till mid 1960, only approximately 1600 of these beauties were created, and this Teaburst [ named ‘Nelson’ after our iconic figurehead Nelson Mandela] is a stellar example.

This ’60 is a rare, one owner guitar – I recently purchased Nelson from the original owner who acquired it from Polliacks [H Polliacks and Co ] in late ‘60/early’61 and which remained in his faithful possession until now.

Nelson could be considered a perfect example of the typical 1960 Les Paul – classic ‘burst finish, perfectly playable ‘Goldilocks neck’ [not too wide,not too slim],medium sized frets and an ideal weight of 8.8 lbs.

Besides some fading on the logo, and wear behind the neck, the finish on Nelson is in fantastic condition.
